Family Vacation 2015

Standard

I know it’s a ways away yet, but I’ve begun to plan our 2015 summer vacation to Niagara Falls Ontario.  Here’s the plan for each day:

  1. Friday – drive to the Super 8 Motel in Saint Cloud for the night
  2. Saturday – Drive to the Nicollet Mall to pose with the Mary Tyler Moore statue, go to the Minniapolis Sculpture Garden, and then end the day in Wisconsin Dells.
  3. Sunday – spend the day in Wisconsin Dells
  4. Monday – visit Wrigley Field, spend the day at the Lincion Park Zoo, stop to see the Buckingham Fountain, and then heading to a motel for the night.
  5. Tuesday – drive the seven hours to Niagara Falls and spend the night at the Travelodge.
  6. Wednesday – spend the day in Niagara Falls admiring the falls, looking out from the top of the Skylon Tower, checking out the Guiness World Records Mudeum, going for a hike behind the falls, spending time at Marineland, Riding the Lakeside Park Carousel, and exploring the Upside Down House.

It’s not an exotic vacation, but it’ll be lots of fun!  I’m not sure which route Mike prefers to take home, so that part of the plan will have to wait for now.

This is what I’m hoping we’ll stick to spending on our trip:

  • $1000 for lodging
  • $100 for food
  • ? for gas

Kianna

Standard

Well, as you’ve probably assumed, I’ve had our little baby girl, and she’s perfect!  Kianna was born on September 8, 2014.  She was 22 inches long and weighed in at 9 pounds 1 ounce.  Due to her blood sugar level taking a dive, she had to stay in the NICU from Monday to Friday.  She’s six weeks old now and doing fantastically!  She’s growing and developing right on schedule and is a joy to have in our lives!  She’s predictable and very easy-going.  She’s got a case of thrush at the moment, but it doesn’t seem to be bothering her at all.  She’s begun to show off her social smiles and track people and objects as they move through her line of vision.  She’s doing well with her tummy time and has begun to use her adorable little voice 🙂

It’s so exciting to have another girl in the house, and I enjoy putting her in different outfits and taking countless pictures of her 🙂  I am a very happy and blessed mommy ❤
